Gathering in Pusan, 'Gorgeous Visit' of Korean famous domestic movie directors

As gathering most ever top movie stars in the 14th Pusan International Film Festival, the event also invites most star-level movie directors to the film festival to participate the biggest international film festival in Asia. 


Director Jang Jin for <Good Morning President>, Director Yoon Je-kyoon for <Haeundae> and Director Kim Yong-hwa for <Take Off> all get together during PIFF and participate in group talk to share their precious experience and their unique understandings about film and culture. 


Director Jang Jin for <Good Morning President>, "I miss the smile of former President" 


In the media conference held for opening movie <Good Morning President> in the afternoon of 8 October, Director Jang Jin said he wants to see the smile of former President Roh Moo-hyun after he watches the movie but that can't happen due to his suicide which is really sad and sorry. 



"Actually I was born in the 70s and President of my time was really powerful in term of politics. However as time pass by the image of President has been changing as well. So I want to talk about their daily life and their regret in a comedy movie," said Director Jang. 


Director Yoon Jae-kyun for <Haeundae>, "This is Korean style disaster movie which is different from Hollywood heroism" 


As the first Korean disaster movie which attracts over 11 millions of audiences, <Haeundae> is considered as the most successful domestic disaster blockbuster in Korea. Director Yoon Jae-kyun released on 8 October in Megabox, Seoul that there is no plan for <Haeundae 2>. 


"I always want to make a disaster movie with Korean style without hero as in Hollywood disaster movie," said Yoon Jae-kyun, "I probably have seen the movie over 200 times since I finish filming. The movie is like the director because I am kind of emotional movie director who laugh as much as cry. I cried for the movie several times when I edited it." 



Director Kim Yong-hwa for <Take Off>, "I want to make a movie encouraging everyone" 


During the open stage promotion event for movie <Take Off>, Director Kim Yong-hwa said "I want to make a movie encouraging everyone and it turns out audiences do feel encouraged by the scenario and the actors' performance which makes me so happy. 


"I feel like all the happiness in my life is realized when I meet the fans of my movie in this kind of occasion. In the future I will also bring the audiences with movies I like and I am good at," said Director Kim. 


Also, Director Kim Ji-woon for <The Good, the Bad, the Weird> and Director Brian Singer for <X-man> Series co-hold a open talk with the audiences talking about different filming cultures in Korea and Hollywood movie industry and share their opinions toward different types of movies.
