US Mag Covers Music Mogul Park JYP
The New York-based business magazine Crain's has carried a two page spread on JYP USA, a studio that Korean music mogul Park Jin-young is set to open June 20 in Manhattan.
The article introduced an interview with the musician cum businessman covering how he first started out in the U.S. music industry by handing out demo tapes to hip hop artists, his business now with Western producers after 3 years and the founding of JYP USA.
Crain's likened Park to the American creator of successful boy bands such as New Kids on the Block, and cited Warner Music Group Executive Vice President Kevin Liles as saying that Park is "such an active person" and that he had accomplished so much through the pop star Rain.
Park's studio JYP USA is also introduced in detail as an entity aimed at facilitating record deals with U.S. agencies and producers, and utilizing US-style training to nurture Korean artists into world stars.
