Bae Jong-ok “Impossible is Nothing”, Five Senses of Eros

Actress Bae Jong-ok seems not that kind of person who may try a character of femme fatale. But she breaks her previous image and changes herself for the movie Five Senses of Eros. She thinks that is a natural challenge rather than change. 


In the third episode “Love Lesson” of movie Five Senses of Eros, audiences are interested in who is the actress on top of a naked man. They can’t believe their eyes that the actress is Bae Jong-ok. “This is my first time to try such a character so I think it will be so interesting”, said Bea Jong-ok. 


Different from her character in “The World That They Live in”, Bae Jong-ok plays the role of Hoa-lan who plays around with director and another actress using glamorous beauty strategy which is also a unique character in the history of Korean movie. 


Bae Jong-ok has become actress more than 20 years since 1985 and is in her late 40s at the moment. She thinks actors should always give audience to capacity of imagination. “It’s difficult when you arrive certain age; it’s not so easy to make it happen either”, said Bae Jong-ok who is very serious about her actress career. 


“As a 40 some years old actress, I don’t pursue any young characters so I feel comfortable about my acting; but I’m always willing to challenge myself as a actor in different productions,” said Bae Jong-ok.
