Aired on 14 September for the first episode on KBS, drama <The Queen Returns> wins audience by the comedic story and the excellent performance of actors.
There are two leading characters in this drama who are Jang Kong-shim (Hwang Sin-hye) and Cha To-kyeong (Oh Yeon-soo). They are best friends who dream of being ballet dancer from their student time. They are long-term friends but still jealous about each other at the back. Also Cha To-kyeong has relationship issues with her boyfriend Na Bong-hee (Tak Jae-hoon).
Jang Kong-shin comes back to Korea and meet Cha To-kyeong again when Cha is preparing for her wedding with her boyfriend Na Bong-hee. As time pass by the stories between the two women become more and more interesting. Also the appearance of Jang's first boyfriend Jo Hyun-woo (Lee Jae-hwang) makes the story more complicated.
This is Hwang Sin-hye's first TV production in 5 years in which she changes her image a lot to challenge herself as an actress.
Fans leave message like "It's better than I expected and it makes me laugh every now then", "It's interesting to see all the two women playing with each other on the TV screen" as the comments for the first episode.
Drama <The Queen Returns> is a new challenge for MBC drama <Queen Seon Deok> on every Monday and Tuesday.
