Soo-ae in 'Like the flame, like the butterfly', 'I admire the image of Queen Myeong Seong when she falls in love'

"Somebody says I reproduce the true image of Queen Myeong-seong. I appreciate about that comments," said actress Soo-ae who is playing the role of Queen Myeong-seong in movie "Like the flame, like the butterfly". 


Although Queen Myeong-seong is a real figure in Korean history, story and fictions behind the historical book is still interesting to the audience. Compare to other historical TV and movie productions of Queen Myeong-seong, actress Soo-ae is going to show another refreshing image of this great woman in Korean history. 


Releasing on 24 of September, movie "Like the flame, like the butterfly" tells the secret story of Queen Myeong-seong before she became a successful female politician in ancient Korea when she falls in love with her security guard Moo-myeong (Jo Seung-woo) and experienced true love as ordinary person. 


-What do you think is different about your character to other former Queen Myeong-seong characters? 


"Instead of telling the story of Queen Myeong-seong as a successful female politician in ancient Korea this movie gives the image of ordinary woman for Quenn Myeong Seong who has the right to fall in love with someone she really likes and pursues love as everyone else does in the world," said actress Soo-ae. 


-As an actress entering your 30th, what do you think is different from the 20th? 


"As time pass by I think I become more open to people than before and I pay attention to my image more than before as well." 


-"Usually actors find it hard to get out of the character when they go into the character to deep, what about you?" 


"Yeah, I find it hard to see goodbye to those amazing characters as well. I mean the meeting with them is so good and when the character goes deep in your heart you find it hard to break up with them. But as time pass by I will get better, for sure."
