Expectations Run High for Romance in 'The Partner' - episode 23

The legal drama "The Partner" hinted at romance between Kang Eun-ho (Kim Hyeon-joo) and Lee Tae-jo (Lee Dong-wook), the protagonists of the drama.


The July 23 episode dealt with a case of domestic violence in a lawmaker's family. Tae-jo felt sympathy for the lawmaker’s son, who was torn between his authoritarian father and submissive mother, because it reminded him of his own childhood.


Eun-ho deduced his thoughts because of his hostile attitude toward the boy's mother and tried to comfort him at a street bar, saying, "All mothers are never free from feeling guilty when it comes to their children." Having become drunk, she leaned against Tae-jo's shoulder and Tae-jo put his arm around her.


Tae-jo also bought Eun-ho a cell phone because he broke it by mistake. Eun-ho fell asleep in Tae-jo's car holding the phone, and he happened to hold her hand. The disturbed look in his eyes and face showed that he had come to have feelings for her.


Viewers expressed their pleasure about the signal of love between the two, saying, "I myself was pleased to see Tae-jo and Eun-ho start to have feelings for each other," and "My heart was pounding hard when Tae-jo held Eun-ho's hand while she was asleep."


But it remains to be seen if the two can really make progress in their relationship, as the ending scene hinted that Tae-jo may have had something to do with the death of Eun-ho's husband.


The series has been receiving a good response as it does not lose tension as a legal drama by revolving around various cases.

I agree with this post. The "Partner" is an amazing drama, but why is it so short? It"s final episodes are up this week in KBS World. It"s disappointing...
