Koo Hye-seon, challenging myself as author and painter for better communication with the public

Actress Koo Hye-seon expressed her feeling about being an author and painter for the first time during her first illustration exhibition on 1st July at a gallery located at Insa-dong Jongno-gu in Seoul.

During the exhibition of her first illustration “Tango”, Koo Hye-seon smiled and explained the reason she become a author and painter. “I want the public know more about me apart from actress; I want to communicate with the public by my music, painting and words; I like challenging myself.”

“My love for music and painting began when I was a child but I didn’t become famous for that”; “Since audiences all know my name through TV production, I want to show my other aspects to the public and enjoy the process with them.” Koo Hye-seon prefers to be called as a person who loves painting rather than a painter.



“My main occupation is still actress so I will concentrate myself on acting in the future; I’m a little bit confused about how to choose the next character; I’m still think whether following my role in “Boys before Flowers” or a different character works better for me.”

Koo Hye-seon’s illustration exhibition will continue from 1st to 7th July at I nsa-dong Jongno-gu in Seoul. Public can also enjoy her wonderful illustration pieces from novel Tango released with singer Keo Mi’s 4th album, Comfort.

At the exhibition, Koo Hye-seon also showed several paintings made during overseas promotion for Boys before Flowers (KBS 2TV). “Her painting is considered as amazing work although she is not a professional painter”, said official from Koo Hye-seon’s company.

Koo Hye-seon plans to give all the revenue from book sales and other related productions to public welfare campaign “WITH” held by YG Entertainment. Also, actor Lee Min-ho also participate the exhibition together with another member Kim Joon from F4. “I am surprised by her talent,” said Lee Min-ho.
