Kim Hee-ae's Realistic Acting Sparks Breakup Rumors

Top actress Kim Hee-ae is said to be shocked by rumors of a breakup with her husband Lee Chan-jin, the CEO of the DreamWiz portal. The rumor was apparently sparked by her part in the SBS hit soap "My Man's Woman", in which Kim plays the seducer of a married man opposite Bae Jong-ok.

The producers say the soap is about a turning point for a woman who lives a satisfactory life as a daughter-in-law, wife and a mother who is betrayed by a friend, a beautiful, lonely woman whom lost her own husband. The soap seems to sympathize strongly with both women.

The rumor has snowballed to the point where it says she is now separated from her husband. People say her performance seems so real, especially in the love scenes. But Kim insists it's "totally unfounded". A spokesman for her agency said, "She talks on the phone with her husband during short breaks while shooting. I don't know how such a rumor could spread". He recalls an earlier rumor that she was sick when she played a patient with an incurable disease. "I guess her performance is so great that audiences confused fiction and reality". A close friend of Kim's also denied the rumor. "She is a passionate actress as well as a great mother to her two kids. Whenever she has a little time, she drives her kids to school".
