Jang Dong-gun, The Warrior’s Way on 2000 American Screen

This is the biggest opening since Korean movie “D-War”.


This proves that Jang Dong-gun is also top star in America.


This is the opening for “The Warrior’s Way” which is collaboration of Korea and America and soon will be on show on over 2000 American screens. 


The investment for the movie is over 10 million US Dollars and is led by Korean actor Jang Dong-gun and Hollywood star Kate Bosworth. 


After releasing the news on 13 July, the stock price of STARM Co., Ltd who invest in the movie rises 14.97 points and the trade volume reaches 5.2 billion Korean Won. 


In 2007 the Korean movie D-War used to show on 2267 cinema screen which made the record for Korean movie in American market. Now the movie The Warrior’s Way is the biggest opening since “D-War”. 


It proves that Jang Dong-gun is possible to become top star in international movie market. “We believe that Jang Dong-gun may succeed in a broad market where he shows the international audience that he is non-stoppable,” said his company. 


“We will carefully plan his schedule in the future and prepare to forbid illegal download of the movie together with American company as well”, said his company. 


In this movie Jang Dong-gun is playing the role of an Asian warrior living a hard life in circus troupe with Kate Bosworth who has the dream of revenge. 


At the same time Jang Dong-gun is going to perform in another movie which is also collaboration between Korea and America called Good Morning President.
