Chae Rim to Play Lead in Chinese Drama

Actress Chae Rim, who made a successful TV comeback after a two-year hiatus with the hit KBS drama "Dalja's Spring" (which ended in March), has decided to take on the lead role in the Chinese drama The Mischievous Princess 2.

Chae will play the lead character 'Sadojeong' in the 30 part series love story between the princess of China's Su dynasty and the prince of the Tang dynasty, which leads Su to destruction.

An official at her management agency Olive Nine says Chae will "be able to once again grab the hearts of Chinese viewers", noting her large fan base secured through her previous appearances in Hong Kong and Taiwanese dramas.

The Mischievous Princess 2 will air across China next May. Chae and actor Ha Yong-jin will leave for China early next month to begin shooting.
