Brian Singer, 'I am fan of director Kim Ji-wun; I respect him very much'

American movie director Brian Singer who successfully produced <X-man> series making him world famous says he is a fan of Korean movie director Kim Ji-woon of <The Good, the Bad, the Weird> and <A Bittersweet Life>. 


In the open talk of 14th Psuan International Film Festival held on 11 October, director Singer says he is fan of director Kim Ji-woon and what surprises him is every production of director Kim is different. Also he picks up movie <A Bittersweet Life> as his favorite movie of director Kim Ji-wun. 


Director Kim says "Basically I've watched all movies directed by Mr. Singer and I'm also surprised by his production that he can make every movie so amazing and unique based on similar stories." 


Also Director Kim says he admire the intelligence of Director Singer and address him as movie master who operates movie at very high level in terms of genre and size. 


Talking about the difference between Korean and Hollywood movie directors, Singer says the most different thing is movie director in Korea has more power over production than Hollywood director. "For minimize the finished version of movie, directors don't have so much power in the studio in Hollywood," said Singer.
