Two Korean films have landed spots in the competition section of this year's Cannes Film Festival.
They are director Lee Chang-dong's love story, "Secret Sunshine", and Kim Ki-duk's drama, "Breath".
These two will compete against 20 others, including Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's road-trip romance, "My Blueberry Nights".
As the festival opener, Wong's production enjoys an extra dash of prestige.
In addition, two Korean shorts will be screened in the non-competition section.
The 60th annual film gala opens May 16th in the French seaside city of Cannes.
