11th PiFan Opens Thursday



The 11th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) kicked off Thursday in the Gyeonggi province city of Puchon.

The opening film 'Into the Starlight' will be screened at the evening opening ceremony emceed by actor Kim Tae-woo and actress Chu Sang-mi.

The PiFan PR envoys, actors Lee Wan and Song Chang-ui, will stay throughout the festival period. The cast of the opening film, Kim Min-seon, Jeong Kyeong-ho and Cha Soo-yeon, will also attend the opening ceremony.

The two hundred fifteen films from 33 countries to be screened during the 10 day festival cover a wide range of genres including horror, thrillers, mystery and fantasy to suit the varied taste of attending fans.

The 124 feature films and 91 short films are categorized into seven sections including Puchon Choice, World Fantastic Cinema and Family Fanta.
